Hi, my name is Leanne (or Lee-Lee as some of the children like to call me). I am the early years educator at best start family day care.

I have been an educator for over 15 years in the Grovedale area and I provide quality home based care in a safe and nurturing environment.

I tailor learning programs based on each child's individual needs and interests and I welcome parent's input. The learning programs are also linked in with the early years learning framework.

The children enjoy a variety of different learning and play experiences including music and movement, storytelling, literacry and numeracy, and art and craft just to name a few.

I have found family day care to be a great stepping stone before kindergarten and primary school. It’s also beneficial for children to use in conjunction with kindergarten. The small group numbers work really well as I am able to provide lots of one on one interactions, teaching and guidance for each child. The strong bonds that form in the smaller group between educator and children as well as between children and their peers helps children to feel a sense of belonging as their confidence grows.
