Finding Shanthi was a true blessing for our family. She was incredibly patient and attentive with our child, especially since she had a terrible experience from large childcare centre. She helped our daughter become independent and confident. Importantly, Shanthi really helped her feel happy and loved outside our home. She learned loads and so did we! Shanthi always made sure we were thinking ahead for our daughter - like a caring aunty always thinking one step ahead. After keeping our son at home till he was 3.5years old, we decided to try a one day a week daycare option before he was to begin two days at kindy. Shanthi’s family daycare provided the perfect transition for him and we were so lucky to find her. The quick improvements we saw in our son’s ability to play well with new friends, bravely cope with separation, respond positively to other’s instruction and settle quickly was all down to the wonderful work of Shanthi. Shanthi is sensitive and responsive. She has open and regular communication which is supportive and positive. Shanthi’s ability to quickly form a warm, caring and loving relationship with our son certainly helped to ease him into new routines. Her home is clean and safe. We would have no hesitation recommending Shanthi to any family looking for a nurturing, flexible and natural home learning environment.

My youngest son has attended Shanthi's family day care for almost 12months. Shanthi always has a warm welcome and favourite activity to help him settle each morning. He has grown in confidence and independence during his time with Shanthi and it is wonderful to know he is in such good hands. We will certainly recommend Shanthi's family day care!

Our children have attended with Shanthi from very young until attending school. I was pregnant with my youngest and he has known Shanthi from birth and started with her when he was 1 years old. I cannot understate the impact Shanthi's warm, caring environment has had on my children and by extension our family. We get daily updates from Shanthi, we have never had to deal with distress - the kids always want to go to daycare. They come home nourished, clean, happy. My husband and I were a bit skeptical about family daycare services and our daughter had already attended a normal daycare. However, Shanthi exceeded our expectations from the moment I walked in the door. Our daughter has absolutely loved her time with Shanthi! She has made some lovely friendships with the other kids. Shanthi is organised, experienced, and so easy to communicate with. She clearly loves children & it has been the best decision for us to send our daughter there. We will miss Shanthi as our daughter is off to prep but I’m sure we will keep in touch :)

After our 2 year old had a tough experience at a large daycare centre it was a relief to find Shanthi! From the first meeting we could tell that she genuinely cares about the children and that the kids who attended felt safe and happy to be there. Shanthi gave our son a lot of personal attention to make sure he felt welcome and happy, and also special attention in improving his confidence playing with other children and with his communication which we saw drastically improve over a short period of time! Our little miss started at Shanthi when she was about 18 months old and was with her for 2 years before attending C&K for her kindy year. To us she was Aunty Shanthi because of the care she provided as though as being part of the family. She was/is warm, attentive and caring just like a grandma to our little one. Her home is clean and comfortable. Our daughter was a bit of a fussy eater (didn't eat meat at the start) and Aunty Shanthi was not only able to get her to eat but to eat it all. Magic touch! It made us so relieved and be at ease to leave our daughter knowing she is well looked after. Both being full-time working parents is challenging as is without the needed extra stress. Our daughter would be happy and healthy and never had any drop off issues, if anything, had to beg for a goodbye hug as she would be so keen to go inside Aunty's home. Especially on the all girl's day fun. Shanthi goes the extra mile such as taking the little ones to the local playground. She shows an invested interest in the little's one development and ensuring they are well mannered behaved individual. Our daughter still asks about Aunty and wants to visit. We hope that in the near future, our requirements and timing align to have our 2nd daughter to attend Aunty Shanthi's care.

My daughter has attended Shanthi’s family day care for over 2 years. She was 1 when she started and after a traumatic experience at long day care it was a relief to find Shanthi. From the first time we met, she swept my daughter up with professional hands and her wealth of experience was obvious. My daughter was comfortable from day one (which was a miracle given drop offs at long day care were a traumatic experience). We greatly appreciate the clean, healthy and loving environment Shanthi provides. Shanthi always makes an enormous effort to ensure kids and parents feel comfortable at drop off. Her communication is excellent with photos and messages every day. My daughter was always happy and made great friends at Shanthis. Shanthi put great effort into developing my daughters skills and independence which we greatly appreciated. She takes pride in her work, loves her children and genuinely has their best interests at heart. We are grateful for the personal experience during this very important time in our daughters life, all the advice Shanthi has given and for her being part of our family. We consider ourselves very lucky to have been able to attend Shanthis.

My daughter has been with Shanthi since she was two years old and I've been nothing but incredibly happy with our experience. Shanthi has become like family to us- my daughter loves her time there and tells me every day that Shanthi is her 'best friend". She goes above and beyond to help every family it shows so clearly in her relationships with every child. The atmosphere in her home is always welcoming, the children are so loved, happy and well looked after. It's obvious when you visit she's created an environment where they feel safe and are encouraged to explore and have fun. The outdoor set up was one of the first things that drew me to enrolling my daughter. Plenty of shade, toys, equipment for them to play on and the children are often watering plants and riding their scooters. The indoor toys and activities are always well thought out, educational, and my daughter comes home full of stories and new information. Being in a small service has been wonderful for her confidence, she is so close to the other children and will miss them when she starts school in 2021, however she will keep attending Shanthi's in the school holidays for holiday care. I think we'll always be a part of the family now!

As busy doctors with two young kids, we were struggling to find suitable care for our youngest child with multiple food allergies. Finding Shanthi’s day care has been the greatest find and support our family has had in the last two years. We feel reassured and are able to care for our patients at work, as our own children are well looked after by Shanthi. Our kids have always found Shanti's place as an extension of their home. Our youngest, started going to Shanthi’s family daycare since the age of two. Our eldest goes there for holiday care and it was lucky for our kids to play together in a clean, safe and well maintained environment. Having a child with multiple food allergies and difficulty in gaining weight, we were concerned about her diet and eating. Shanti ensured that every meal was adequately supervised and eaten properly and made sure our child caught up with her growth. Our child has rarely been sick in this time. Shanti carefully selects families to ensure the kids have a good group to play and grow together. Shanti has been very supportive in following our child's speech training program to support her development. We have never seen her take a sick day in the time we've known her. Children's activities are well planned and professionally supported every day in a family environment. She takes enormous effort and keeps the activities interesting and stimulating for the kids.There are a broad range of toys and equipment for the kids to play both indoors and outdoors. She's very caring, nurturing, and quite firm in disciplining children when necessary. She is quite sensitive to the needs of the children and families and we have seen her treat all kids equally. She is a good early educator as well. Today our child is ready for kindergarten, physically strong, confident, friendly, creative, expressive, because of enormous support and encouragement from Shanthi.
