Indigenous Education: Our Lead Educator, Taylor, is also our Reconciliation Action Officer, leading the integration of Indigenous perspectives and initiatives into the program.
Sustainability Focus: Children learn the importance of environmental care, sustainability, and social responsibility through creative, eco-friendly activities, such as repurposing materials for play - guided by our Sustainability Officer.
Play-based Learning: Children are inspired to be curious through our inquiry learning approach, where they will naturally explore, wonder, question, and make sense of the world around them.
School Readiness Program: Preparing children for a smooth transition to school and equipping them with essential skills for life beyond Story House Early Learning.

Our passionate educators are the heart of our service! With a dedicated team of experienced professionals, we provide high-quality early childhood education in a caring and supportive environment.

Our multicultural team celebrates the diversity of our community by integrating the cultural heritage of families and educators into our curriculum. We foster respect, understanding, and cultural awareness through events, cultural celebrations, and the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives and values in our programs.

We speak multiple languages, including Cantonese, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, Turkish, and Russian, helping foster meaningful connections with our diverse families.

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Pathway to School

Our 3-year-old Long day care and 4-year-old Preschool programs nurture young learners as they gain confidence, make decisions, and develop emotional strength and social connections. Children learn to collaborate, problem-solve, and express themselves while building key skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication. They also explore healthy choices, personal responsibility, and creative thinking in an engaging and supportive environment.

We provide inquiry-based curriculum through play - across exciting learning areas, including:

Health and Nutrition

Our talented in-house chefs, Oscar and Juanita, prepare nutritious meals on-site for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and snacks. We cater to all dietary requirements and celebrate the joy of food through shared dining experiences. Some of the children’s favourite dishes include shepherd’s pie and Napolitano pasta.

We also offer interactive cooking classes where children can explore food preparation and develop basic cooking skills in a fun and engaging way.

Many thanks to all the wonderful teachers and management team at Story House. Jane is always so happy to go there — sometimes she enjoys herself so much that she doesn’t even want to come home! 😊 She especially loves story time with Teacher Belinda. We are beyond grateful for Belinda’s patience, kindness and care in looking after Jane. We have seen Jane grow and develop so much during her time at Story House, and it is wonderful to see how happy and comfortable she is there. Thank you to the whole Story House team for creating such a caring and welcoming environment for the children. Highly recommended! from Jane's parents

My daughter started at Story House Early Learning Miranda a year ago, and she has loved it from her very first day! The educators are so warm and caring, the daily program is fantastic, and they do awesome excursions. They also serve fresh food, which is great. She comes home every single day with new stories to tell us and so much exciting news about what she learned. She has felt supported here from day one. Now she is in the Kangaroo room (preschool group) and loves the playground and all the fun resources. I want to give a special thank you to Miss Vernie, who helped her settle in so smoothly and make new friends. Also, huge thanks to Miss Taylor, Miss Alexandra, and Miss Margo—you are all truly amazing and supportive, and you look after my daughter so well! 100% recommend Story House Miranda to any family.

Exceptional day care. Everyone is so kind and the excursions and daily photos are always full of huge smiles. Our daughter runs through the day care saying hello to all her past teachers and never wants to leave. Shout out to miss Vernie! Not a single complaint.

Storyhouse Miranda has been amazing since my son joined a year ago. The staff and educators are so lovely and caring, you can tell how much they care for the children. Our boy absolutely loves his educators in P2 and everything that is offered from the activities and excellent outdoor area. We appreciate the updates and photos shared throughout the day.
