I have 2 children who attend Guppys beerwah and I can not fault it, the education experience is great and fun both my son and daughter have come such a long way in their development. All educators leave a great life long memory with myself, my partner and most importantly my children. They are always happy and very inviting, willing to answer any questions regarding my childrens day ect. They are already assisting my family with the process of transition into school and are open to any and all questions I have which is wonderful for new parents. Wonderful and clean centre and very organised, highly recommended Guppys beerwah if you are ever thinking of a daycare for your child/children.

Sadly, I had a distressing experience at this centre and feel other families deserve to hear it. Our son was kept in a room that, in my view, was not developmentally appropriate for him. Over the three weeks he spent there, the few friends he had made were moved into the next room after their birthdays. Despite our son being due to move up in only a few weeks, he remained behind. This left him isolated and unsettled — especially having just transitioned from another daycare. I requested an early move but was told by the Director that it wasn’t viable from a business perspective due to staffing ratios. When I asked how this aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, I didn’t receive a response. I felt dismissed and unsupported, and my emails went unanswered. A particular incident that deeply concerned us involved our son being bitten. His father — who had never visited the centre before — collected him that day and was able to walk in and out without being asked for ID. As a parent, this was alarming. I submitted a formal complaint to the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care, which is currently being processed. Following that, I was contacted by the centre’s owner, who referred to an unpaid balance and asked me to remove my review. This left me feeling intimidated. While I acknowledge that some educators may be doing their best, my personal experience left me feeling unheard and unsure that my child’s emotional needs and safety were being prioritised. That was difficult to accept as a parent. Based on my own experience, I personally would not recommend this centre.

My daughter has attended guppy’s since she was 15 months, she’s now 4 years old and about to graduate kindy. She loves the teachers so much and they have been instrumental in preparing her for prep next year.

Response from the owner 04 Nov 2024

Hi Lindsey, thank you for your wonderful review. It is our pleasure to have your beautiful family in our service.
