Children aged up to three partake in our tailored Evolution Program, while those aged three to five enroll in our Transition to School Program. Our on-site chef prepares five nutritious meals and snacks daily, ensuring children are well-nourished throughout their time with us. Additionally, we provide all necessary nappies and wipes, with cot linen included (excluding stretcher bed linen). Our Transition to School Program is designed to develop learning dispositions, providing a fluid transition into Early Stage One of the Australian School Curriculum. Increased social and emotional confidence supports healthy risk taking, making predictions and ongoing resilience.
At Young Academics, we believe the first five years of a child’s life are critical for establishing healthy eating habits, exploring new foods, and meeting essential nutritional needs to support growth and development. Good nutrition not only enhances physical health but also boosts a child’s well-being, self-confidence, and focus.
We’ve developed our unique Nutrition Program in collaboration with a qualified nutritionist. This program is designed to help children understand the importance of healthy eating, hygiene, and physical activity. We encourage children to actively participate in meal preparation and serving, fostering a hands-on approach to learning about nutrition.
Our carefully crafted seasonal menu, which rotates every four weeks, is designed to meet 50% of your child’s daily nutritional requirements. It includes a variety of nourishing foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fish, chicken, dairy products, and more, ensuring children receive a balanced diet that supports their growth and development.

Our baby girl has been attending Young Academics Mortdale since they first opened last year, starting when she was just 5 months old. She’s now 1.5 and absolutely thriving! Jess, the director, is so warm and welcoming — she truly sets the tone for the centre. All of the educators are fantastic, caring, and genuinely love what they do. The centre itself is new, beautifully clean, and thoughtfully laid out, making it such a calm and happy space for the children. Even our older son, who attends casually during school holidays, enjoys it so much that he wishes he could go full-time too! We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful daycare for our children. Highly recommend Young Academics Mortdale to any local families. ❤️

As first time parents, we were so anxious about putting our daughter into childcare but the Jess and wonderful team have been amazing. The purpose built centre is open and well designed - with a large covered area, great play area and indoor space. The team line up great activities for the kids and are continuously improving and always open and receptive to feedback! Keep up the great work!!
