We have spent over 8 years at giraffe with our 3 children and we cannot speak more highly of it. The staff are so warm and professional and I have complete faith in the giraffe team helping us raise our kids.

The most important quality in a daycare is its staff and Giraffe have the loveliest staff imaginable. Every single staff member takes such an interest in the kids and their development. They all seem to know every child’s name, so you feel like you’re bringing a minor celebrity into the centre every time you walk in. They know some kids find the transition to daycare hard and the level of patience and support is incredible. The centre director Flora is always there to give kids a cuddle when they need it. The continuity of staff has also been great, a staff member or two will always move up with the kids to the next room so they’ve always got a familiar face. It really does feel like everything centres on the wellbeing of the kids.

Couldn’t rave more about Flora and the team at Giraffe Balgowlah. My son has been there since he was 5 months old and the care, love and fun-filled education he receives daily is above and beyond. I’m so thankful for all the kindness every single educator has shown, it made returning to work just that little bit easier knowing he was in such great hands. Plus, what an epic day of fun he gets to have!

I couldn’t believe that our little one had settled into Giraffe by her second day! The educators and director Flora have worked incredibly hard to make her feel happy, safe, and welcomed. Their care, patience, and dedication have made such a positive difference. I would absolutely recommend this daycare to any family looking for high-quality childcare. Giraffe Early Learning Centre’s have been an integral part of the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore community for over 15 years. Our Balgowlah Centre opened in 2019 on Griffiths Street opposite Manly West Primary School. This centre was built by bringing back a spark to an old Electrical Substation - breathing life and laughter into an old and unused community landmark.
At Giraffe Early learning Centre your child’s sense of belonging and safety is at the heart of our philosophy. We offer a generous transition period for you and your child where you can visit our centre up to 3 weeks prior to your official start date. Equally our transition to school program is integrated into our daily practice and aims to equip children with valuable life skills. We are fully air conditioned and our fully trained inhouse chef prepares all meals and snacks from scratch using fresh ingredients.
