I arrived early to pick up my baby (14 months old) and was looking for him, as he is usually at the door waiting for me. When I couldn’t see him inside with the other babies, I asked the educator where he was. She looked surprised that I was there early and told me he was outside. I was confused because there was no one outside… when I went outside, I found him around the corner, completely distressed and left alone in the changing nappy section—an area where no baby should ever be left unattended. This section is completely out of sight, and my baby was screaming and crying.
It appeared that my baby had been left outside because he was crying, while the educators were focused on trying to settle the other babies inside for nap time. This was deeply upsetting, and I felt very uncomfortable with the lack of care and attention shown to my baby's needs.
What’s even more troubling is that I was later told there is no footage of the incident, despite being initially assured that it would be reviewed. I was told that the footage exists but cannot be accessed due to "technical issues" until June. Now, as of November, I have heard nothing further about this situation, and it feels like it has been pushed aside without any resolution or accountability.
I trusted this daycare with my baby’s care, and this incident has severely shaken that trust. If you’re planning on sending your child here, just don’t. The lack of proper supervision, failure to address serious concerns, and the utter lack of communication and follow-up make it clear this facility is not equipped to provide safe care for children.
