About Woodside Primary School OSHC

The Woodside Primary School Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is a service provided to the school community for both before and after out of school hours care. Situated onsite in the South West corner of the school the service is well resourced and has a designated room and play spaces for the children. Currently we have a capacity of 30 for Before School Care (BSC) and 45 for After School Care (ASC) and have both permanent and casual places.

In addition to the regular hours of 7:00am to 8:30am (BSC) and 3:15-6:30pm (ASC) we have a vacation care programme and we are open on pupil free days to cater for the school community. With an experienced team of staff qualified in education and out of hours care, the service follows the National Quality Standards and students have opportunities to explore their interests through play-based learning. We are currently developing nature play areas, loose parts play and have kitchen gardens and chickens for the children to explore their interests and pursue activities they enjoy.

Woodside Primary School Out of School Hours Care Service strives to provide a safe, supportive & caring environment which will create positive & meaningful relationships, with children, families & staff. There is a strong emphasis on developing friendships out of school with a range of activities for children of all ages. We also provide afternoon tea and fruit all in a secure and safe environment. Our fees are set by the OSHC Advisory Committee which comprises parents, teachers and staff and we aim to provide quality experiences, which will be age and developmentally appropriate, encourage exploration & spontaneous play, provide positive social interactions, give children direction in life skill areas & encourage further learning.
