As parents, leaving your child in someone else’s care can be difficult, but the team here made us feel comfortable and reassured from the very beginning. Our son has built such lovely relationships with his educators and genuinely enjoys being there.<br><br>We are so thankful for all the love, patience, encouragement, and effort the educators put into every day. Watching our son grow and flourish in such a caring environment has been wonderful. At Child’s Play ELC, our philosophy is simple: every child matters. We believe each child is unique, capable and deserving of care, respect and opportunities to thrive. Our centres are guided by values of inclusion, belonging, kindness and respect, creating a place where families feel supported and children feel at home.
As immigrants from the UK, our founders Sam and Ian Johnson came to see childcare as an extension of family. After many years working in education, they dreamed of creating their own centres where children are truly nurtured and families feel deeply connected. That vision lives on today, in welcoming spaces that feel like a second home and give every child the chance to grow into a confident, compassionate learner.
We use tasty fruits, veggies, and other good ingredients from the market to cook healthy meals right at the centre. We make sure every child’s food needs and family traditions are respected.
Every day, Children get to enjoy different foods from the five big food groups, like fruits, veggies, grains, dairy, and proteins – to help them grow strong and healthy!
Our friendly cook makes meals that are not only super yummy but also help children learn to love healthy food.
And guess what? The children even help grow their own veggies, herbs, and fruit in the garden!
We call it our “garden to plate” adventure – where Children plant, care for, and then taste the food they helped grow. How cool is that?
At Child’s Play, we authentically incorporate the Reggio Emilia approach from birth to six years, fostering innovation, creativity, and sustainable practices. Our philosophy centres around the belief that children are capable, curious, and full of potential. We embrace their natural curiosity by providing a rich environment filled with natural materials like glass, wood, and metal, encouraging exploration and creativity.

We know how important it is for families to feel connected to their child’s day. That’s why we use the OWNA app to share updates and messages in real time. You can see what your child is learning, celebrate their achievements and feel close to those special little moments, even when you can’t be there.

Child Play Centre has been a wonderful experience. Gracy, the Centre Director, is very cheerful, understanding and approachable, and she always deals with parents with kindness and professionalism. Bhavishya, Sushma, Raman and the whole team are caring, attentive and genuinely dedicated to the children. They plan activities thoughtfully, take great care of the children and keep parents updated on time. I really appreciate their communication, patience and the warm environment they create.
