I would recommend everyone to visit this nice place and meet with nice, kind, gentle: staff, educators, children and parents.<br>Making Waves Early Education Centre is the best ChildCare that I’ve met in more than 5years till now.<br>From 4months up to pre-school, my kids have been here as a second home.<br>My wife and I are always safe working without hesitation.<br>Very patiently and socially, they send chats and photos every single time for the child's routine that makes you feel like you are with them.<br>They make sure that parents are safe.<br>You deserve everything guys.<br>Thank you Making Waves.

I have had two babies go through this daycare centre, 5 days a week, since 2021 and still currently have one in the preschool room. I love all the educators, many of whom have been there for many years, from the baby room right through to the preschool room. They have always supported every medical/disability complexity(one autistic, one syndrome/autistic). Rodd, Sharon and all their team, have always gone above and beyond to support and love our babes. We had sign language being taught to our babe by an educator(we love Claire) to help support communication for my non-verbal babe, and then we had the educators trained by her speechy, and willing to always support one of our babes with her communication device. They have always allowed all therapists(speechys, ot, physio, psychologist) in for regular sessions. They have taken on everything that was recommended by our therapists, to help support our babes. They have helped document every many things to help with diagnosis’s. Rodd and Sharon have taken so much stress and burden off our shoulders and have been the very best of supports for our complex family. Our children have thrived and exceeded all expectations with the love and understanding of all educators who have loved them over the years. We are very grateful to have found the perfect daycare.

I am extremely disappointed with how our child was treated by this preschool. Our additional needs child (including autism) was asked to leave just four months before starting school, despite the fact that we had strategies and support plans in place to help them succeed.<br><br>We repeatedly tried to work with the preschool and offered support from our child’s behaviour therapist and occupational therapist. Unfortunately, the preschool refused to work with these professionals and also refused to collect data or properly document what was happening when asked. This made it incredibly difficult to understand the behaviours, identify triggers, monitor progress, or make informed adjustments to the support plan.<br><br>What is most upsetting is that, rather than working with us and the professionals already involved in our child’s care, the preschool chose to remove our child at such a critical time. We also feel that the concerningly high rate of staff turnover was a contributing factor in the poor level of care.<br><br>We feel our child was let down at a time when consistency, understanding and collaboration were needed most.

I am incredibly disappointed with the way my autistic son has been treated by this preschool, particularly with only a few months remaining before he starts school.<br>Despite providing strategies and recommendations from myself, his behaviour therapist and occupational therapist, the preschool repeatedly refused to implement the strategies that were recommended to support him. They also refused to collect the behavioural data requested by his therapy team, making it much more difficult to properly understand his needs and monitor what strategies were effective.<br>I am also deeply concerned about the use of restrictive practices that, to my understanding, were not appropriately authorised. This is especially concerning when there were professional strategies available that could have been implemented to support my son in a positive and proactive way.<br>Rather than working collaboratively with us and his support team to help him successfully transition into school, the preschool made the decision to exclude him with only a few months to go.

I have been visiting unannounced on a monthly basis for the past year, and every visit has left me with a very positive impression. The staff are consistently welcoming, professional, and attentive, while the environment is always clean, organised, and child-friendly. Although I don’t have a child enrolled at the centre, I have observed the educators interacting warmly with the children and maintaining a calm, caring atmosphere. Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend them for the important role they play in caring for the next generation of our society. It is clearly a thoughtfully run centre.

A beautiful little independent centre, which has been so wonderful for my son! They have great staff, many of whom have been there for years and years. They have fantastic outdoor spaces and beautifully presented rooms. We have been so impressed by the education and the care we have received and we'll miss them all when he goes off to school!

They have great indoor and outdoor play areas, meaning if it rains the kids can still be outside playing and not stuck inside all day. Rooms are big and spacious with plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. Teachers are great very nurturing.

We love our daycare- the teachers are so good natured and positive. They always have beautiful engaging decor for the kids to investigate and outdoor play and autonomy are big factors in their days. Support staff are great and everyone there seems really happy. My kids have completely come out of their shells. "Kids need dirt". ❤️

I have 2 children at Making Waves and they both love centre and their educators. The support and dedication from the educators and the director is outstanding. One of my children has additional needs and he is so well supported and nurtured by his educators. I can’t speak highly enough of all the educators and the centre as a whole. Sharon has created a beautiful, inclusive, nurturing centre and I’m just so glad we were recommended it by a friend.

They have a great facility with plenty of room for our two girls to play and learn, and they absolutely love the educators. Highly recommended this place to anyone looking to put their kids in a safe and clean environment for them to learn and grow.
