Our son has been attending Making Waves Early Education Centre since he was just 9 months old, and now at a little over 2 years, we couldn’t be happier with the care and education he receives. The educators are genuinely nurturing, patient, and attentive — they take the time to understand each child’s personality and needs. We’ve watched him grow in confidence, language, and social skills thanks to the thoughtful programs and engaging learning experiences they provide every day. The communication from the staff is always clear and supportive, and we love seeing the updates, photos, and stories about his progress. The centre feels welcoming, safe, and incredibly well-organised. It’s clear the team truly cares about creating a positive and enriching environment for the children. We’re so grateful to have found a place where our son is not only well cared for, but genuinely happy and excited to go each day. Our baby girl Luna started out with some serious medical and feeding issues and the amazing educators took her with open arms and nurtured her all the way through her first year. They even taught her to start eating her first solid foods, Vegemite on toast. Seriously, they go out of their way to nurture the children and we have ALWAYS felt safe leaving our daughter here. Their communication is great, always calling us if there is ever an issue. They accommodated Luna and made sure she was safe as we navigated oxygen use during sleep. We’re moving to Scotland now but we are going to miss these guys like family. Thank you for everything 🙏✨
Welcome to the family-owned and operated Making Waves Early Education Centre. We are a socially inclusive long daycare centre that caters to the individual needs of children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. At Making Waves, the centre owner is onsite every day to ensure your child's educational and developmental needs are our FIRST priority. Our name is our reputation, which is reflected by our rating of "EXCEEDING National Quality Standard". Although we are born and bred in the Hunter Valley, our aim is to build a national reputation for excellence in education.
The Making Waves educators have decades of combined experience in childcare, education and welfare in both the private and public sectors. Our highly-qualified team of hand-picked professionals allow us to offer an exceptionally high level of care and education for your child. Our indoor and outdoor play spaces have been developed with sustainability and natural elements as a primary focus. Our dedicated Educators ensure that your child has access to a physically and educationally dynamic program. To complement that, the Making Waves kitchen staff provide a healthy and varied range of meals, and we cater for any allergies or dietary requirements.
Making Waves EEC is just 90 seconds from the Pacific Hwy traffic lights at Warabrook. No waiting for a gap in peak-hour traffic here. Turn into Warabrook Blvd and go straight through the roundabout, take the next left into Rosegum Rd and all the way to the bottom driveway of the cul-de-sac. Look for the big Making Waves signs at No.23. We are also only a 500m (8-10 minutes) walk from the bus stop near Woolworths or the Warabrook train station, and we have plenty of off-street parking.
Our operating hours are 7.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays).
