Garden Suburb Nature School is a child care service in a family-orientated friendly suburb. I aim to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere within a caring and stimulating environment for each child. I support a holistic approach to teaching and learning, whilst building respectful and reciprocal relationships with children and parents. I am a parent myself and understand how important raising children is and what an integral role a childcare provider plays.
I am committed to following the National Quality Guidelines and embracing the Early Years Learning Framework of Australia and the My Time Our Place Framework.
I have completed my training in Children's Services and have up-to-date First Aid training including CPR, asthma management, and anaphylaxis. I have also had first-hand experience with asthma and anaphylaxis with a child of my own having these conditions.
I have had a Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check and completed Child Protection training.
Our program is nature-based and we embark on adventures into our community for our learning most days. This includes all kinds of natural locations around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. For this reason we take children aged 2 and over.
