Welcome to Campania District School!
Campania District School serves the educational needs of students ranging from Birth to Grade 12, residing in the Coal River Valley and surrounding areas.
With a relatively low, but growing school population, our students enjoy the benefits of small class sizes with excellent support for learning and strong pastoral care. We have two buses that allow us to access additional relevant learning experiences, through excursions and camps. In addition to the core learning areas of English, HASS, Literacy, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Health, and Physical Education, our curriculum includes Design, Automotive, Kitchen Garden and Construction, Foods, LOTE (Chinese and Spanish), Drama and Production, Visual Art, Music, Dance, Digital Technology, Health and Recreation, Outdoor Education, Wellbeing, Project Based Learning, and Child Studies. We have a thriving Launching into Learning Program which caters for 0-3 year olds and a Pre-Kinder program. Our early year’s program is informed by the principles of play-based and inquiry based learning that helps to build the foundations for an ongoing love of learning and success through school.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent emotional and social support for our students through a range of teaching programs, incorporating a focus on Restorative Practices, Zones of Regulation, and Wellbeing.
Enrolment at Campania District School is in line with the Department of Education’s guidelines. We aim to have a maximum class size of 25 students. Families who believe their children are eligible can contact the school using any of the methods below. Our intake area map (currently under review) is available to view at: https://publicdocumentcentre.education.tas.gov.au/Documents/Campania-District-School-Proposed-Intake-Area.pdf
*Please note that Richmond Primary School is a feeder school and families from Richmond Primary School can enrol at Campania for High School.
Please contact the school to make an appointment to discuss your child’s future enrolment with the Principal.
