Safety

Edge Elizabeth Park is unwavering in our commitment to ensuring that our centre provides a secure and nurturing environment where your child’s wellbeing is always our top priority.

  • Our dedicated team prioritises safeguarding children through daily practices, educational programs, and adherence to national child safety principles.
  • Our 3–5 years rooms benefit from a higher 1:9 ratio of educators to children (versus the regulated 1:11 ratio), meaning your child will receive an enhanced level of individualised care and supervision.
  • Our supervisory and senior staff complete regular Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training.
  • We proudly work with Bravehearts and other similar child safety advocate organisations to strengthen the personal safety education within our programming.
  • Our S.A.F.E. framework (Spot, Act, Fix, Explain) requires staff to speak up if they see or suspect something isn’t right. With S.A.F.E. in place, we have created a culture of accountability where reporting is expected and encouraged.
  • Our Active Supervision policy ensures all team members understand the importance of Plan, Position, Look & Listen.

I am so thankful I found this centre. My daughter’s previous centre she would cry and scream and cling to me for dear life on drop off and on pick up. She has pretty bad separation anxiety from me. From day 1 she felt comfortable here! The staff made her feel so secure from reception to the rooms! Everyday that is a daycare day now she is excited to go and not a single tear has been shed when I pick her up or when I drop her off! The centre is lovely and new and clean, which is so nice to see. Thankyou to all the staff at Edge Elizabeth Park, you have helped this mumma get back to work and be at ease that my daughter is happy to be there and not in a rush for me to get her in the afternoon. Would absolutely recommend this centre to anyone I know.
