My son started with Herta when he was almost 2 years old and in the 9 months he was there, he grew in so many ways. I can not thank her enough! Herta is not only sweet and thoughtful, she is very professional and has a strong focus on eduction. Our son came home daily with new learnings. She goes above and beyond with the creative activities she organises for the children. Her daily email updates with photos made me not only smile, but also let me rest easy while I was at work. Our son also loved being able to play with Herta's husband, who is fantastic with the kids (on his days off). Some of the great daily activities included - visits to the park, bus rides, cooking, body painting, making glitter playdoh, messy play, craft, obstacle courses, sand pits, and the list goes on.. Herta has a quiet presence and is very reliable. She was a perfect carer for our son! Unfortunately due to relocating to the Gold Coast we had to finish up. I cannot recommend her enough. I am a qualified educator with a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor Degree in Social Science with focus on early childhood education. I have been working in child care for more than 25 years and successfully running my Family Day Care since over 9 year.
I provide a nurturing, relaxed, hygienic and risk controlled environment that has a balance of indoor and outdoor activities which promotes open, play-based learning experiences with many natural materials based on the Early Years Learning Framework. At the core of my educational program is to encourage children to be independent, curious and involved learners through everyday routines and activities planned and spontaneous.
