I’ve just completed my final working bee at Elonera, as my son finishes his four-year-old kinder year here. We truly love this kinder and are so grateful for the experience it has given him. The sense of community at Elonera is unmatched. There is a genuine commitment to every child—their education, wellbeing, and individual development. As a teacher myself, with many years of experience in education, and as a parent who has had two children attend three different kinders over the past four years, I don’t say this lightly. This level of care and professionalism doesn’t happen by chance, it starts with strong leadership and flows through the entire team. The educators are incredibly nurturing, knowledgeable, and absolute professionals. There is a clear sense of purpose, high expectations, and pride across the whole community. You can feel it simply by walking through the grounds, speaking with staff, or observing the children. My son had a very challenging start to early childhood education, particularly with separation anxiety. Thanks to the thoughtful transitions and the care and support of the educators, he not only settled quickly but began attending with confidence and genuine excitement. The three year old teachers truly exceeded every expectation I had. Now, in his final year, he has grown into a confident, independent, and socially connected little boy who is truly ready for primary school. We are so proud of him, and so thankful to the incredible educators and leadership at Elonera for their patience, dedication, and unwavering support.

There’s a reason this kinder is currently rated as ‘Exceeding’ for the National Quality Framework standard system, and is going for the top rated ‘Excellent’ this year. Incredible kinder run by amazing educators and volunteer parents. Highly regarded by everyone in the community locally!

We couldn't speak more highly of Elonera, it is such a special place. Our children have thrived there and the educators prepare the kids so well for school, while still maintaining a focus on play based learning. The educators are experienced, professional, passionate and kind. It is a joy to see how happy our kids have been here and the community connections we have made as parents have been really special, and have continued through to school. There are lots of social opportunities throughout the year for both the grown ups and kids, and plenty of opportunities to volunteer, as this is a completely community run kinder with the exception of the educators.

Elonera is run by a passionate, engaged and professional team that takes early years development seriously and has created a special place that is unique and tailored to the needs of every child. My daughter has special needs and it is unlikely that she would have developed and been able to meet the challenge of primary school without their dedicated support. Their risk managed play and bushkinder programmes really develop curiosity and challenge young minds in a safe and supportive environment while also showing great empathy, I would highly recommend them.

As a former teacher who sent their eldest daughter to Elonera, it's an absolutely incredible kinder. The community spirit, amazing teachers and friendly parents, make it a wonderful place to send your kids. All the staff are incredibly attentive and thoughtful with the children, I couldn't have hoped for a better place for my kids to start their schooling experience. Thank you Elonera!

Elonera Preschool truly is ‘a happy place for children’ Prior to Elonera our family had a couple of very rough years of childcare. Our eldest has recently started primary school, after two years at Elonera, the transition could not have gone more smoothly; a direct result of the care, environment, and learning provided by the awe-inspiring team at Elonera. It was not possible for our youngest to be more excited to get her turn this year. The four year old bush kinder programs are stunning - in the early weeks our eldest was concerned about the lack of toys/play equipment - in the final week there were tears about whether he would get enough time playing with sticks once bush kinder wrapped up. Forever grateful x

Both my girls had a wonderful experience at Elonera Kindergarten. The program does an amazing job preparing children for school, building confidence, independence, and a love of learning. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and create a warm, supportive environment. Elonera also has a fantastic community behind it. The parent-run committee volunteers so much of their time to make the kindergarten the best it can be, and it really shows. The Bush Kinder and Playball programs are outstanding and gave my kids fantastic opportunities to build skills, confidence, and curiosity. We are so lucky to have this community kinder in our area.

We feel so lucky to be a part of Elonera. The sense of community is fantastic and the teachers are so nurturing while still being both practical and supportive. My daughter genuinely looks forward to every session, which says so much about how happy and comfortable she feels there. How fortunate we are to have somewhere so wonderful in Parkdale.
