My son has been going to Bubup Nairm Children's Centre for the past 1.5 years, since he was 5 months old, and we absolutely love it. He did go through the usual bouts of illnesses you'd expect from being exposed to such an environment, but his immune system is now so much stronger (he doesn't really get sick these days). All the educators are lovely and responsive, and my son thrived as a result. He has developed into a confident, curious, friendly, playful little boy, and I'm sure a lot of it has to do with going to Bubup Nairm.

I have really sat on this review as we had a bad incident with this facility in Jan and I didn't post a review then as I honestly had to take some time to get over it. I am posting this now as I know this is a time people are signing their children up for childcare and our experience should be known. On our Fifth day at the Centre, an educator opened a door into the room where our daughter was and caught her toe. They called me and said there was some blood as the nail lifted and she should be picked up and taken to the GP. When I looked at the toe it was clear that a trip to emergency was needed, the Doctor said that the nail was 90% ripped off and would need to be removed. This led to injections and xrays for my little girl (13 months at the time) and then numerous trips to the GP to change bandages after. I acknowledge that some changes were made after the incident - more glass on doors, training for staff etc but it didn't feel good enough and we never sent her back to the Centre. The "excuse" giving was they didn't expect her to reach the door so quickly after the educator left the room. This was also the second time she was hit with a door, the first time being a head bump so they knew she was quick on her feet and would run towards the door if needed. Anyway, I have heard some negative still about the Centre and another Mum at the park encouraged me to leave this review. I know it is a long time since the incident but I was totally traumatised after it and couldn't bear to even think about the Centre. I would hate for something to happen another little child

I gave it 2 stars because most of the childcare workers are very good and do a wonderful job considering the management. 🌙Completely disgusting management accepted my child that was sick but no fever anymore only to refuse her when I came at the door just because. While I told my boss that I was coming to work. 🌟Came again on Monday to find my child with her belly bare and no socks while she was sick the week before . I had to spend the night at the hospital she caught 2 viruses into those premises. ✨Only because they can't be bothered to properly clean their premises , the baby bottle sometimes where barely clean when coming back to me. 💫They were short staffed a few times during my child's stay ( only 6 weeks) . And on top of that they are going to kick out the playgroup upstairs to get more room for more children. ⚡They should hire more staff instead of stealing the room for the playgroup. 🌝To finish I have to ask a few times to get my bond back ($900+ ) while the management forget about it. They didn't t forget to get the money when I paid for the bond ? Or to get their money for my child care ? Answer to the owner: I only share my experience. I think you can be rated by outside people at a certain time and moment . Experience from the parent is different and there is other council childcare that people can consider. I really feel that you are understaffed and the staff is worn out and you are not that cheap. Plus you took the room upstairs where obviously you don t have the funds to hire more staff.

Bubup Nairm is rated Exceeding by the ACECQA, demonstrating our commitment to providing exceptional care for all the children enrolled at the centre. Our staff are highly trained professionals. We always return the bond to eligible families and have returned your bond well within the 8-week timeline that is set at the time of enrolment. We strive to make the experience of our centre a happy and enriching one for all our children and families.
