OUR PHILOSOPHY
Albany PCYC Out of School Hours Care is a child-focused service where:
• Children are encouraged to develop to their full potential with-in a safe, friendly, caring, and supportive environment which encourages their citizenship skills and a sense of belonging within their community.
• Children's Rights are recognised and upheld; Children, families and staff are treated as equal and valued as individuals.
• The importance of play is valued, and children's ideas and opinions are sought and utilised.
OUR AIM
As a team at Albany PCYC Out of School Hours Care we aim to fulfil our Philosophy by providing a welcoming relaxed child-oriented environment which would be a safe, comfortable place where children have choice from a range of activities which are targeted at individual's needs and interests. All children will be treated with dignity and respect. Our service strives to reflect our local community by encouraging parent feedback and participation in all relevant aspects of our service.
Educators
Our educators have a strong commitment to providing a safe, stimulating, and positive environment, which always fosters children's development and enjoyment. Educators are selected for their training, experience, and their ability to uphold service philosophy, policies, and procedures. All educators have relevant certificate IV or above childcare relevant qualifications delivered by registered training organisations. Educators are supported and encouraged to further their training and skills.
