About Montessori International College

At Montessori International College, learning is more than education, it’s a journey of discovery, purpose and growth.
Welcoming children from Pre-kindergarten to Year 12, MIC offers an authentic Montessori education designed to nurture curiosity, independence, creativity and a life long love of learning.

Children can join our community from the age of three, where they will begin a carefully prepared, and personalised journey through our early years program, known as Cycle 1. During these formative years, our experienced Montessori Guides support each child to learn at their own pace, and follow their interests, all while building the foundations for academic, social and emotional success.
Our Early Years environments are thoughtfully designed to inspire wonder and independence. Through hands-on learning experiences, children develop concentration, resilience, self-discipline and a genuine sense of responsibility. As they engage in meaningful work, they gain confidence in their abilities and discover the joy of learning naturally and purposefully.
What begins in the Early Years continues throughout the entire MIC journey. The Montessori principles flow seamlessly through Children’s House, Junior, and Senior Primary, all the way to Year 12. As children grow into young adults, they are continually supported to become confident learners.

Set on a stunning 22-hectare campus, our College provides children with the space and freedom to explore, connect with nature, and develop confidence in themselves and the world around them. With expansive outdoor learning environments, nature-based experiences and opportunities woven throughout the curriculum, children develop a deep appreciation for the environment.

At MIC, we don‘t simply prepare children for the next stage of school. We empower them with the skills, character, and confidence to thrive throughout life.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

What makes MIC special is our commitment to educating the whole child. We recognise that academic success is just one part of a young person's development. Equally important are wellbeing, creativity, leadership, resilience, and a sense of social responsibility.
This philosophy begins from a child's very first days at MIC.
Imagine an environment thoughtfully designed for the unique curiosity and wonder of the 3-6 year old mind, and you have the Children’s House environment, traditionally known as Cycle 1, at Montessori International College (MIC).
As the first stage of our Pre-K to Year 12 learning journey, Children’s House is designed to support each child's natural development, fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning from the very beginning.
For children at MIC, every moment is an opportunity to learn. Rather than sitting passively at a desk, children actively engage with their environment, exploring concepts through hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and imagination. Our mixed-age classrooms foster independence, confidence, and social connection, laying the foundations for skills that will support them throughout life.
In our classrooms, you won’t find traditional teachers. Instead, you’ll find Montessori Guides who partner with each child on their learning journey, carefully observing their interests and introducing new challenges and opportunities at just the right time. The environment is calm, purposeful, and engaging. Children can be seen pouring, tracing letters, building mathematical concepts with bead chains, and exploring a rich array of hands-on materials.
Through this meaningful work, children develop focus, independence, confidence, and a genuine love of learning. Skills that extend far beyond the classroom and continue to support them throughout their MIC journey and beyond.
