We are so proud to send our daughter to Amara. From management to our daughters' beautiful educators, we are thrilled to see Aria so happy and developing in her confidence. The centre evidently exceeds high-quality standards and care. We have noticed that our Aria learn and developing her confidence in toilet training since starting at Amara. If you want your child to have a sense of Being, Belonging and Becoming, I highly recommend sending your little ones to this service. We can't thank you wonderful educators enough for playing a monumental part in Aria’s learning journey.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Will my child have the same educator every day?

We aim for consistency wherever possible, so children can build strong, trusting relationships with their educators. While some variation is natural, we structure staffing to provide familiar faces in each room throughout the week.

How do educators communicate with families?

We believe in open, ongoing communication. Educators share daily updates, learning highlights and developmental progress through conversations, photos and our family communication platform.

What is the educator-to-child ratio?

We maintain low educator-to-child ratios that meet or exceed regulatory requirements, ensuring every child receives the attention, support and care they need throughout the day.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

What is the Reggio Emilia Approach to learning?

The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy that views children as capable, curious, and full of potential. Originating in Reggio Emilia, Italy, after World War II, this approach emphasises self-directed, experiential learning in relationship-driven environments. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, express themselves in multiple ways, and engage in collaborative learning experiences.

Why we use the Reggio Emilia Approach at Amara

At Amara, we believe children learn best when they feel confident, curious and respected. That’s why we embrace the Reggio Emilia approach – a philosophy that aligns closely with our values. It allows us to see each child as an active participant in their own learning, capable of making choices, exploring ideas, and expressing themselves in many different ways.

Our educators act as guides and collaborators, helping children investigate the world around them through play, inquiry and discovery. This approach helps us create rich, engaging environments where children can grow socially, emotionally and intellectually – supported every step of the way.

Safety

Safety

Your child’s wellbeing is our top priority

From the moment they arrive, we take every step to ensure children feel safe, supported and cared for in a secure environment.

Our Balga centre has been designed with safety in mind – from secure entry points and age-appropriate furniture to soft outdoor surfaces and thoughtful room layouts. Every detail supports safe exploration and peace of mind.

Clean, caring and prepared for anything

Health and hygiene are part of our daily routine. Children are guided through regular handwashing, play areas are sanitised frequently, and all meals are prepared in a commercial-grade kitchen that meets strict food safety standards.

If a child becomes unwell, we act quickly – contacting families and providing a calm, supportive space until pickup. We also follow clear protocols for managing incidents and injuries, with transparent communication and detailed reporting.

Our secure pick-up and drop-off system means that only authorised carers can collect children.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

How do you manage allergies and special medical needs?

We work closely with families to develop individual health plans and follow them carefully. Allergens are clearly identified, and all staff are trained to manage medical conditions like asthma, eczema, and food allergies.

How secure is the centre?

Our centre features secure entry points, authorised pick-up protocols, and a sign-in/out system via the Xplor app. Children are always supervised, and access to the building is tightly controlled.

What are your cleaning and hygiene procedures?

We follow strict daily cleaning routines, including sanitising toys, surfaces, and high-touch areas. Children are supported with regular handwashing, and our kitchen operates under certified food safety standards.

What happens if my child gets sick at the centre?

If your child shows signs of illness, our team will contact you right away. They’ll be cared for in a quiet, supervised space until you arrive, and we’ll talk you through any next steps needed.

One of the best daycare center I have come across. My son was a very shy toddler but just in a month he has adjusted so well in Amara and he is so happy to be there. He has started playing with other children , exploring and participating in all the educational activities. , he even enjoys his meal times with his friends and educators and have been trying new food which he never eats at home , he was a fussy eater. They have such amazing and caring educators and my son loves his educators a lot. Amazing management and amazing educators . Can’t thank enough to all lovely educators for taking good care of my son .
