The first thing that comes to mind when reviewing KinderHaven is “Hidden Gem” we are SO happy with this centre. We cannot recommend them enough, their staff are absolutely beautiful & kind. Not only do I know this by seeing how they are with the kids while I’m there but my son who only goes 1 day a week does not stop talking about his educators + his friends their aswell he settled in after only his 3rd time being there, they make such an effort to know all the little things that he’s interested in and know exactly how to make him have a great day.<br><br>While we were doing our first tour of the centre i knew we had found the one that I could send our son too and he would be taken care of no matter what distractions were around he & the other children would be the main priority always.<br>I was chatting to an educator there at the end of my tour, and then a child started crying.. mid conversation she stopped talking to me and went straight to the child to comfort and see what was the matter. That level of care I had never seen at a centre before, instead of sitting around chatting to the parents while children were crying and putting the parents first to sell the centre. That educator showed me that day that this was the centre we had to enrol in, they were the place that would put our children first over anything!<br><br>We love this centre and I wish we found them sooner! If you are an anxious parent who doesn’t trust your children with anyone & have a hard time of the thought of putting them into childcare like myself, trust KinderHaven I promise you they will be safe, supported & loved here.

Nursery Space: 6 weeks – 2 years
Learning starts from before birth, and our Educators have created a welcoming and nurturing nursery environment where each baby feels safe to explore and discover new things - through their senses, their communication and cues (body language, facial expression and sounds) and by experimenting. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play, water play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing!
Toddler Space: 2 - 3 years
Our teachers and educators encourage the children to learn through play to help enhance their sensory-motor development. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games and reading experiences.
On any given day the Toddler children can be seen developing their numeracy by building a tower, sorting objects, pointing and identifying shapes and patterns and participating in counting songs and games.
Children in our toddler space are encouraged to participate in group play. Group play is important as it helps our toddlers develop important social skills such as, turn taking, developing self confidence and emotional self regulation. Our team helps children through talking, planning and role modelling.
Preschool Space: 3 – 6 years
Preschool is a unique time for learning with peers and developing skills for later learning including confidence and curiosity, important skills for starting school. Our play-based program encourages active engagement in learning and supports a range of positive developmental outcomes including resilience, independence, critical thinking and creativity.
The oral language supports literacy learning. A child’s oral language ability is the best predictor for later success in learning to read and write. Hearing the sounds within a language is the first critical step for all literacy learning. Our team supports our Preschool children's development by engaging in rich discussions, introducing new vocabulary as part of everyday conversations, as well as singing, playing games, and reading with the children daily.
Throughout the Preschool year,children use their language to share ideas, ask questions, express themselves, and connect with peers and adults in social settings.
Social-emotional skills, including the ability to self-regulate emotions, is supported through group learning environments. Our team supports each child’s social and emotional development by labelling and talking about emotions and supporting appropriate responses as together, they engage in new and challenging situations. Lastly, ensuring that all children are ready for the ‘big school’ by preparing them for all that ‘big school’ has to offer.
Morning
Tina is 11 months old and enjoys sensory play outside in the sandpit with her friends. She sits near her educator who helps teach her how to scoop the sand into the bucket. Tina is learning how to dig, carry, and move the sand. She is also exploring texture and learning what happens to the sand when she adds water!
Lunch
Tina has finished her lunch and is preparing to take a nap. Her educator changes her nappy, prepares a bottle and reads Tina a story before her afternoon sleep.
Afternoon
Tina and some of her nursery friends enjoy some story time and songs outside in the shaded garden. They read ‘Peepo’ which is Tina’s favourite book.
Morning
Lennox is two and a half years old and loves to start his day at the centre outside on the climbing equipment. His friends join him, and together they pretend to be pirates on a ship looking for treasure. Through this exciting dramatic play, Lennox is learning about himself and the world around him. Dramatic play is helping Lennox identify his interests, abilities, likes and dislikes.
Lunch
Lennox is watering the vegetables in the garden. By doing this, Lennox is learning the importance of growing and caring for the veggies in the garden. Lennox picks a tomato from the garden, which the Chef will use to help make Lennox and his friend’s lunch - Spaghetti Bolognese!
Afternoon
Lennox enjoys art, and today he is painting a beach scene from a recent family holiday. He adds the finishing touches and sets the painting aside to dry; so that he can take it home to share with his family.
While painting, Lennox is learning how to express himself creatively and how to convey his ideas and emotions. Painting is also helping develop Lennox’s hand eye coordination, finger, wrist and hand strength. Making marks on paper is important for self expression as well as later learning.
Morning
Lana is almost five years old and can’t wait for today’s carpentry experience - she loves building things! Carpentry experiences allow Lana and her friends to extend their learning through real-life experiences. While participating in carpentry, Lana is learning to problem solve, experiment and predict. She is also improving her hand eye coordination, manipulative skills and muscular strength.
Lunch
Before Lana sits down for lunch with her friends and educators, Lana takes part in the centre’s sports program. Lana loves sports. Sports helps Lana improve her flexibility and strength (perfect for growing bodies!). Sports also allows her to practice different skills in a fun and engaging way.
Afternoon
Lana is off to ‘big school’ next year and she can't wait to start! Lana and her friends will be visiting the local primary school next week. In preparation for the visit, the class is creating a list of questions to ask the Principal and school children.
Our centre chef prepares and cooks healthy and nutritious meals daily, catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child. We believe that by encouraging active participation (such as growing their own fruit and vegetables, preparing, and finally cooking!) children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating.
Our centre offers children nutrient-rich, unprocessed, and seasonal whole foods – created to delight the fussiest eaters.
Hi my name is Sarah, and I am the Centre Manager here at Kinder Haven Aldinga. I have worked in early education and care for 20 years, in the UK, New Zealand and now Australia. I started at Kinder Haven Aldinga in 2017. I hold a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning Early Childhood.
I enjoy seeing children grow and develop and knowing that we have made a difference in their lives. I am passionate about providing inclusive environments for all children, as I understand how important it is for all children to be seen and heard. Our aim is for all children and families to feel safe, secure and supported.
Attending an early childhood education centre can support your child’s social skills, as well as help them develop independence and learn new routines. I honestly couldn't recommend Aldinga Kinder Haven highly enough. They have played such an important role in raising and educating our two youngest children, and we are so grateful for the love, care and support they show every day.<br><br>Our eldest is now thriving in the Kindy room, although still hesitant at drop off, while our youngest is currently in Nursery, and they both absolutely love their time there. They come home happy and have formed such wonderful relationships with the all educators and other children.<br><br>The staff genuinely care about every child and create such a warm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, valued and encouraged to learn and grow. Watching our children develop in confidence has been so rewarding, and we know much of that is thanks to the incredible team. It also is worth noting that I believe the current team has been there for quite some years now. I think this speaks volumes about the workplace itself, and the team environment that has been created.<br><br>What impresses me even more is that so many of the educators have young children of their own waiting for them at home after spending the entire day caring for everyone else's. I honestly don't know how they do it. It takes such a special kind of person to give so much of themselves every single day, and their dedication never goes unnoticed.<br><br>Thank you to the entire team for everything you do. You have become such an important part of our family's journey, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found this centre <3

Couldn’t speak more highly of the crew at Kinder Haven. They’ve always gone above and beyond for my daughter and make drop off and pick up an easy process. Plenty of open space for kids to play and learn and it’s generally very tidy considering there’s a bunch of little humans determined to make it look the opposite.<br>Well done crew!

We’ve had such a great experience at Kinder Haven so far. My daughter is in the nursery room and has built wonderful relationships with both her educators and the other children. It’s been so nice watching her confidence grow and seeing how comfortable she is there.<br><br>The nursery team are incredible. They’re so kind, caring and genuinely invested in the children. They’re always happy to have a chat at drop-off or pick-up, and I really appreciate the daily photos and updates. It’s lovely seeing what my daughter has been up to each day, and it’s clear how much thought goes into planning fun and meaningful activities.<br><br>The management team are fantastic too. It’s so nice to see how involved they are with the children. My daughter will often jump straight out of my arms into the director’s in the morning, which says so much about the relationships they’ve built. Every time I’ve picked her up, the nursery has felt calm and relaxed, and it’s always such a positive environment to walk into.<br><br>We’re so grateful for everything the team does for our daughter and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kinder Haven to any family looking for a quality childcare centre.
