The educators in toddlers room are absolutely fantastic—so caring, supportive, and genuinely invested in our child’s wellbeing and development. They’ve created a clean, warm and welcoming environment that gives us total peace of mind for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing space, our boys love their days at Birches.

I couldn’t be happier with our experience at this daycare. Every educator is warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the children. The biggest testament to their amazing work is Harry. He has completely come out of his shell and now runs through the doors every daycare day with a huge smile and without a second thought. As parents, there’s no greater comfort than knowing your child feels safe, loved, and excited to be there. Thank you to the incredible team for everything you do. We have experienced a smooth transition to Birches for our son. The educators made a genuine effort to assist him in settling in, and have nurtured him since day one. We have been particularly impressed with the educators hands on approach and level of continuous engagement with the children.<br>Since commencing his confidence has increased and he has been eager to share his new learning experiences. I would recommend Birches to any local family.
Birches at Bunyip is a family-owned and operated childcare centre and kindergarten. It is a bespoke, state of the art early learning centre located in the heart of Bunyip, a short 100 metre walk from the town centre. It is a new, beautiful, light-filled, organic and homely learning environment in a convenient position for families in the district.
Birches Early Learning Centre provides both care and education within a long day care setting and caters for the littlest of enrolees in the Nursery through to the 4 Year Old Kindergarten group who develop their school readiness skills under the supportive wing of our Early Childhood Teacher.
Our Philosophy
Birches Early Learning Centre has a commitment to “raising the bar” in early education and the team at Birches ELC work tirelessly to deliver exceptional quality care and education for every child, every day. Our educational philosophies are under-pinned by the widely respected Reggio Emilia approach to learning which supports enquiry and play-based learning experiences in natural and responsive environments. Our learning programs are designed to be emergent in nature and, through reflective practices, are guided by the children’s interests and needs.
Qualified, Experienced and Dedicated Staff
At Birches Early Learning Centre we believe our team of Early Childhood educators are one of our most valuable assets and we could not achieve our goals or honour our philosophies without their knowledge, support and hard work. Our team understand the responsibility that comes with the role of an educator and are committed to ensuring that every child not only enjoys their time with us, but has been exposed to every available developmental and learning opportunity.
Our team approach ensures the individual and collective needs of the children are met in a harmonious and friendly environment. By maintaining a consistent and professional team of staff, we facilitate continuity and familiarity for the children and their families.

All team members hold (or are actively working towards) an early childhood qualification. Our educator-to-child ratios are better than the recommended minimum ensuring high quality care and supervision.
