So thankful for the lovely team at the Hive! Everyone has been incredibly kind, welcoming and supportive, which made the transition into childcare so much easier for both our little one and us as parents.<br><br>The communication throughout the orientation was clear, thoughtful and reassuring. The manager Maria has been absolutely wonderful to deal with — always approachable, caring and happy to answer any questions or concerns we’ve had.<br><br>The nursery leader Janella has also been incredibly supportive and nurturing. It’s clear how much care and attention she gives to the children and we have felt very reassured knowing our little one is in such caring hands. All of the educators have been lovely, warm and attentive and we really appreciate the effort they make to get to know our child and help them feel comfortable and settled. The activities are also so well planned and creative, the skill development has been amazing! I definitely wouldn't be able to think of such fun things to do :)

When we moved house and my son transferred here back in June, I was anxious about how he’d adjust.<br>But from day one, the team made us feel so welcome—the educators even knew my son by name before he stepped through the door!<br>​A special thank you to Maria for giving my son extra cuddles during his early days when he needed comfort, and to Ruby and all the staff who are always smiling and so warm.<br><br>​We are especially grateful for Jessa. My son formed an immediate bond with her, and seeing her instantly puts him at ease. She goes above and beyond—taking him to visit the kinder room to gently prepare him for when he turns three, and even calling me with updates since we don't always overlap at pick-up.<br><br>​It gives us total peace of mind knowing my son is in such caring, thoughtful hands. Highly recommend Hive to any family!

I cannot recommend this centre highly enough. Maria and the educators have been nothing but attentive and caring with my baby.<br>They worked with me on my baby’s smooth transition and overall a great experience after that.<br>My baby is learning heaps and sometimes doesn’t even want to go home.<br>I appreciate the updates, photos, videos, charts. I’m strict on following the routine and the team at The Hive supported the routine so it was never disruptive for our lives.<br><br>More importantly, I see how my baby looks at the educators and how much they actually care and pick up even on the smallest things.<br><br>This team has a big heart and for that we are forever grateful.

We have had such a wonderful experience with The Hive Ashburton. My son has been attending since nursery, and it has been amazing to watch him grow and develop in such a caring and supportive environment.<br><br>All of the educators genuinely care about the children and treat them with kindness, patience, and respect. I completely trust them, which gives me so much peace of mind as a parent. It’s clear that they are passionate about what they do and truly invested in each child’s wellbeing and development.<br><br>I especially love the wide range of activities they provide. Everything is thoughtfully planned to support the children’s learning and development, whether it’s social skills, creativity, independence, or early education. I’ve seen so much progress in my son since he started.<br><br>One thing I really appreciate is how honest and open they are with their feedback. They always communicate clearly about my son’s progress, strengths, and areas for improvement, which helps us support him at home as well.<br><br>I’m so grateful for the care and dedication of the entire team under Maria’s leadership and would highly recommend this childcare centre to any family looking for a nurturing and trustworthy place for their child.

Amazing staff in both kinder rooms, each teacher goes above and beyond for every child and make parents lives easy, now in my final year and sad to think of not seeing the teachers each day

My child has been going to the Hive ELC in Ashburton for more than a year now. I couldn’t be happier with the staff and the care they take in communicating with us. The learning experiences they provide are varied, age appropriate and foster creativity, problem solving and growth. The food is nutritious. Everyone in the Centre takes pride in their job, and it shows. I always recommend the Hive Ashburton when asked about local childcares.

We cannot speak highly enough of The Hive Ashburton. Our family has absolutely loved our time there.<br><br>Our daughter was the very first child to attend the centre when it opened, and she stayed with The Hive right through until starting school (with a mix of community kinder as she got older).<br><br>Being part of the centre from day one has been incredibly special and watching it grow into such a warm, vibrant community has been a joy.<br><br>The educators are truly outstanding — dedicated, caring, and deeply invested in each child’s development and wellbeing. They go above and beyond every day, and it really shows in how happy, confident and supported the children are. The team has always been so accommodating and flexible, which makes such a difference for working families.<br><br>The facilities themselves are exceptional: beautifully designed, modern, spotless and filled with thoughtful, engaging spaces for the children to learn, play, and explore. The food deserves a special mention too - it always looks amazing and reflects the care that goes into every part of the centre.<br><br>Beyond the care and education, we’ve also made lifelong friendships through The Hive, both for our child and for us as parents, which speaks volumes about the strong sense of community they’ve created.<br><br>We will always be incredibly grateful to The Hive Ashburton for giving our daughter such a wonderful start to her schooling journey. I visited yesterday to attend Christmas party and I liked how nice the classrooms were.<br><br>I had a baby fever with so many cute babies around me. Watching little kids jump, dance and play was really nice and moved my maternal side. Maybe one day I will be there visiting my little cuties.<br><br>Kudos to all the sincere staff who contribute in shaping the future generation.
