At Little Bower I offer a warm and loving home envionment for the children in my care. I have more than 20 years' experience in the early childhood sector, and I have a strong focus on play-based, child-lead programming. With a passion for outdoor play, gardening and cooking activities; I try to provide children with opportunities to explore and play in natural and open ended activities.
I began my working life as a chef and nutrition is important to me,so I provide a 'whole foods' menu of nutritious, homemade meals for the children in my care. I also provide all necessary suncreams, nappy change creams, nappies, and linen for rest times.
My programming takes inspiration from Steiner philosophy, and is linked to the natural world, the seasons, and the children's evolving interests. I highly value emergent literacy, so reading with the children is a daily ritual, and our stories are linked to our programme and our activites and play.
If you feel we might be a good fit for each other, please reach out, I'd love to meet you and your family one day soon.
