About Buds & Bees Early Learning Centre, Belconnen
Buds & Bees is a purpose-built long day care and preschool centre at 8 Chandler Street, Belconnen, for children from six months to five years. We're a short drive from Bruce, Lawson, Page, Cook, Macquarie and Aranda, and open 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. We're rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard.
Eat well, Play well and Rest well
We believe children learn best when they are connected to their environment as involved learners. Each day is filled with child-led experiences, loose parts play, physical activity and sensory exploration in light-filled rooms and outdoors, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0).
Four rooms, from first steps to school
Bunnies (6 to 16 months), Giraffes (16 months to 2 years), Koalas (2 to 3 years) and Penguins (3 to 5 years), each with its own educators and routine. Penguins runs our School Readiness Program, and eligible families receive 300 hours of ACT Government preschool a year on Mondays, led by a degree-qualified early childhood teacher.
Outdoor play every day
A courtyard under a glass roof, a timber fort and slide, a sandpit, bike paths and garden beds.
One simple daily fee
Our fee is $175 a day before the Child Care Subsidy, with no bond and no hidden extras. It includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack cooked on site by our chef, milk, nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bed linen and blankets, and your child's learning portfolio on Storypark.
