The educators themselves are lovely and always kind with the children. However, since the centre was taken over by Holding Hands Early Learning, things noticeably changed. There was a clear shift in the atmosphere after the new ownership began. The staff didn’t seem as happy as they once were, and overall the centre felt less organised and less engaged than it used to be. At times the environment felt a disorganised and out of control. Unfortunately the quality of care and environment no longer felt the same for our family. Since moving to another preschool we have experienced a huge difference in professionalism, organisation and overall care. It’s disappointing because the centre once felt very different, but for us the change in ownership had a noticeable impact.
Re-established in 2025, our service is proudly family-owned and operated, offering a warm and personal approach to early learning. As a small Centre, we value close connections and aim to make every family feel like part of our community.
Our service operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm in a family-oriented community, just minutes from the Wollongong CBD. Our service is licensed for up to 34 children each day.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive, nurturing and empowering environment. We believe children are curious, capable and competent learners who flourish when their individuality is celebrated. Our setting provides a play based environment for children, integrating a Montessori inspired approach. We believe children learn best through meaningful experiences that blend exploration, intentional teaching, life skills and taking risks.
The Preschool
The Preschool room caters to children aged 3 to 6 years, providing a stimulating environment for exploration and learning. Our program incorporates Montessori principles, making it a truly unique early learning experience. Children are encouraged to follow their natural curiosity, explore hands-on materials, and engage in purposeful activities that support their individual development. We offer a rich variety of resources that promote creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, while also nurturing independence and responsibility.
The Cabin
The Cabin cares for children aged 18 months to 3 years, providing a nurturing and safe environment for their development. We create a home-like atmosphere where children feel secure and loved, supported by our beautiful team. Our programs stimulate curiosity through structured activities and free play, offering sensory-rich experiences that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth, laying the foundation for future learning.
