When you leave your baby in an early childhood service, especially for the first time, you realise very quickly that it’s not just about the centre, the activities, or the facilities. It’s really about the people you are trusting with the most important little person in your life. And that’s what makes the Green Elephant team so special to us.

Starting with Katie and Mable, the Centre Director and ACD, absolute superstars!! You don’t just see them sitting in the office managing the centre. You’ll see them in the rooms helping the educators, in the kitchen cooking, taking the bins out, checking on the children, and basically jumping in wherever they are needed. What I really appreciate is how thoughtful they are. Whenever my daughter isn’t feeling well, they’ll check in to see how she’s doing, and they always remember special little moments like her birthday. I also love seeing the effort they put into celebrating their own team, whether it’s birthdays or other little occasions. It shows how much they care about the people around them, not just as leaders, but as people too. They create such a warm feeling throughout the centre, and I can only imagine how lucky the team feels to have leaders like you both.

Caoimhe, the Educational Leader, seems to have an endless supply of creative ideas. There is always something happening, activities, celebrations, events and new experiences for the children. Sometimes I wonder where all the ideas even come from! 😂 What I also appreciate is how intentional everything feels. You can see that the experiences are not just fun for the sake of it, but thoughtfully planned around what the children are interested in, learning, and developing. You can see how much care goes into making the curriculum exciting, meaningful and enjoyable for them.

Nao was one of the very first people to welcome us when we started. Leaving my baby with someone else for the first time was incredibly emotional for me, but there was something about Nao’s warmth that immediately made me feel comfortable and made me feel I could trust her. I still remember that feeling, and I’m very grateful for it.

Nara always has the warmest smile. Almost every time we pick our daughter up, she has something to tell us about her day, what she enjoyed, how she ate, what she did and all those little details that we love hearing. It shows how closely she observes and genuinely cares for her. I love seeing how excited she gets about the little things our daughter does too.

Michelle has such a special way of engaging the children through music. Whenever she sings, Aarna seems completely in awe of her 😂 I love seeing my baby's photos sitting so nicely and listening so intently, especially during group time. You can really see how engaged she is and how much she enjoys those little musical moments with Michelle. It’s so special to see.

Shella has the sweetest, gentlest smile and such a calm presence. Even at the end of what I’m sure has been a very long and tiring day with a room full of little ones, she still welcomes us with that same gentle smile and patiently tells us how our daughter’s day went. That calmness is such a beautiful quality to have around children.

Anna creates such thoughtful observations and learning updates about our daughter. I appreciate reading about what she has been doing, what she is learning and the goals the educators are working towards with her. Anna has a lovely way of celebrating every little milestone as though it is a huge achievement because to us, those little milestones really are huge.

And Souk is pure sunshine. She always greets us with such genuine happiness that you immediately feel welcome when you walk into the room. That kind of warmth makes such a difference, especially at drop offs and pick up time.

Thank you, Green Elephant team, for everything you do for our daughter and for all the children in your care. You really are superheroes, and we need more people like you in this world ❤️
