Welcome to Next Generation Kindergarten – Chester Hill (Barbers Road)
Next Generation Kindergarten Chester Hill, located on Barbers Road, is a welcoming and well-established early learning centre offering high-quality education and care for children aged 0 to 6 years. As part of the trusted Next Generation family, our centre has proudly supported local families, building strong, lasting connections within the Chester Hill community and beyond.

Recently renovated, our centre now features refreshed, modern learning spaces designed to better support children’s development and engagement. With inviting, open rooms and beautifully updated outdoor play areas, our environment encourages exploration, creativity, and meaningful learning every day.

We provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive atmosphere where children are supported by a passionate team of qualified educators. Our play-based learning program, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), fosters curiosity, independence, and growth across all developmental areas — social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. Every experience is designed to help children build confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

In addition to our long day care program, we offer Before and After School Care and Vacation Care, giving families flexible care options throughout the year. Daily nutritious meals are also provided, supporting the health and wellbeing of every child in our care.

Open Monday to Saturday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, our Barbers Road location is positioned for families across Chester Hill and neighbouring suburbs. With our recent upgrades and long-standing commitment to quality care, we’re proud to offer an environment where children feel at home, families feel supported, and learning happens naturally.

We invite you to book a tour, meet our dedicated team, and discover how we can support your child’s early learning journey in a modern, inspiring, and family-focused setting.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

The hands-on curriculum at Next Generation Kindergarten makes the most of the thriving community in Chester Hill. The curriculum teaches the children to embrace the beauty of nature and the many cultures found in Australia.

Each child is encouraged to discover and develop their own individual talents, strengths and interests. The curriculum is holistic to ensure the children grow their abilities in all areas of their learning.

The centre offers two different rooms. In the Nursery/Toddler room the educators focus on the children's movement and language skills. They encourage the children to challenge themselves as they learn through materials, experiences and the environment around them. In the Preschool room, the educators help the children to develop the foundations that will help them succeed at learning for life.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

We have developed a menu that caters to children’s diverse tastes and preferences by offering common favourites with healthy twists.

While we may serve menu items such as macaroni and cheese, our recipes have been developed to include sauces made primarily of vegetables.

Even picky eaters will be eating nutrient-rich foods. We also offer fresh, healthy, homemade snacks, giving children the opportunity to understand and respond to their own hunger cues throughout the day.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

At Next Generation Kindergarten, we believe families are children’s first and most influential teachers. Strong, respectful partnerships between families and educators are essential to creating the best possible outcomes for every child. We are committed to ensuring families feel welcomed, informed, heard and actively involved in their child’s early learning journey.

Staying Connected

Open and ongoing communication is at the heart of our relationship with families. Our educators take the time to build genuine connections and provide regular opportunities to discuss each child’s learning, development, wellbeing, interests and individual needs.

Families receive updates about their child’s experiences, learning and achievements through daily conversations, learning documentation, photographs, observations, digital communication and parent–educator meetings. Important centre information, upcoming events, educational programs and community opportunities are also communicated regularly.

Families as Partners in Learning

We value the knowledge families bring about their children. Parents and carers are encouraged to share their child’s interests, culture, language, family experiences, goals and aspirations so these can be meaningfully incorporated into our educational program.

Family feedback is actively sought and used to inform curriculum decisions, centre practices and continuous improvement. Whether through conversations, surveys, meetings, feedback opportunities or participation in centre projects, families have a genuine voice in shaping our community.

Get Involved

There are many ways families can become involved at Next Generation Kindergarten. Families are invited to participate in special events, cultural celebrations, learning experiences, excursions, workshops, community projects and centre initiatives. We also welcome families to share their skills, professions, languages, traditions and cultural knowledge with the children.

We understand every family is different, so involvement does not have to look the same for everyone. We provide flexible opportunities for families to contribute in ways that suit their circumstances.

Supporting Every Family

Our community represents many cultures, languages, abilities and family backgrounds. We are committed to inclusive and culturally responsive communication so every family feels respected and represented.

When children require additional support, educators work collaboratively with families and, where appropriate, inclusion professionals, schools and other specialists to create consistent approaches that support the child’s individual needs.

Preparing for School Together

As children approach school age, our partnership with families becomes an important part of the transition-to-school process. We keep families informed about their child’s progress and provide opportunities to discuss school readiness, independence, confidence and individual transition needs.

Your Voice Matters

At Next Generation Kindergarten, parents and carers are not simply informed about what happens at the centre—they are valued partners in our community.

Together with families, we create a connected community where every child feels a strong sense of belonging and is supported to learn, grow and thrive.

Google Review

I honestly cannot recommend Next Generation Childcare enough. ❤️

After what my daughter Rahma experienced at her previous childcare, she was quite traumatised and understandably found it difficult to settle and feel comfortable. From the moment she started here, the difference has been incredible.

The Director and her room educators have gone above and beyond to support Rahma, taking the time to understand her needs and putting things into place specifically to help her settle in, feel safe and build trust. Their patience, compassion and genuine care have meant so much to us.

Seeing Rahma become comfortable, happy and excited to be there has been such a relief as a mum. It really feels like she is surrounded by people who genuinely care about her, and honestly, they already feel like family. 🥹❤️

I am so grateful to the entire team for the love, support and reassurance they have given Rahma and our family. We couldn’t be happier that we found Next Generation Childcare

My two kids have recently started and I have felt supported throughout in managing their adjustment or hearing updates about their progress. The rooms are beautifully set out with various play stations and experiences for the kids to explore and wonderful and intentional activities happening. Kids have excursions, incursions and any speech or sight testing completed here. It’s a great experience here for kids before joining school. A warm and inviting environment full of love and dedicated professional staff . Thank you!
