Such a fantastic Centre! I'd visited a number of centres in the Southern Hills for my nine month old, and Goodstart Blackwood was a clear cut above the rest. I'm not sure how much of it was due to their not-for-profit status, which is a rarity in the childcare world (something I hadn't previously realised) vs their own practices, but their quality and standards seemed much better than most others I'd looked into. My positive opinion of the Centre has only strengthened in the 13 months since my child started attending. The administration team are responsive and helpful, the educators are warm and caring, staffing is extremely consistent (little-to-no turnover), the facilities and food are excellent, and staff show a real commitment to the learning and development of the kids. The educators and staff work closely with parents to ensure each child's needs and developmental goals are met, while prioritising social and emotional well-being. Nursery Room staff helped us establish consistent sleep routines, drop naps, transition from bottles to solids, and deal with tantrums. They couldn't do this if they didn't know and form attachments with the kids, though, and this is what really shines through. The educators are all very responsive to the kids and the kids seem to genuinely love them. My toddler has formed close bonds with her educators and often speaks about them in their absence (Nursery 1 leader, Jabin, is a particular favourite!). She's always happy to see everyone at drop-off, and is always having a great time whenever I pick her. It's such a relief to drop my child off in the morning and know she'll be safe, nurtured, supported, and happy all day! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Goodstart Blackwood has been a godsend for us, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. Do yourself a favour and send your child to this centre; you won't regret it!

I couldn’t speak highly enough of the staff and educators. All of our needs were listened to and met, and we were kept informed so much throughout the day for peace of mind when our first was settling in. We’ll be very sad to leave when our youngest starts school!

My son attended Goodstart Blackwood for 3 years and I cannot speak highly enough of the centre and the incredible team there. From the very beginning the educators have shown genuine care, patience and understanding. The level of support, advocacy and compassion shown by both the educators and management has been outstanding. They have worked closely with external therapists, supported his development thoughtfully and always made sure he felt safe, valued and included. The communication from the centre has been excellent, and it’s clear how much effort goes on behind the scenes to support children and families, especially those with more complex needs. The educators truly know the children as individuals, and the warmth and dedication they bring every day does not go unnoticed. I highly recommend to any family looking for a nurturing, supportive and inclusive early learning environment.

Choosing Goodstart Early Learning Blackwood has been an outstanding decision for my family. Highly recommend this centre! I was initially hesitant about sending my child to a childcare center, concerned about hygiene, care, attention, and my child's emotional well-being. However, my experience at Goodstart Early Learning Blackwood has completely changed my perspective. My child and I struggled with separation anxiety initially, but the patient and caring approach of my child's educator, Tamara, has been invaluable in comforting us. Tamara treats each child with compassion and sensitivity, making my child feel comfortable and happy to attend the center now, and no tears at dropping off time which seems magical to me. The management team, Venessa and Neha, offer guidance and support, creating a friendly and inclusive space where both children and parents feel valued and at ease. Their commitment, transparent communication and regular updates, shows the center's dedication to providing the highest quality experience. I must add that you gave us an amazing experience at your centre and you have set the quality bar so high that we are comparing all the centre in Victoria with yours.
