The curriculum at Blume Academy focuses on an individual, age-specific approach catering to the unique skills, knowledge and expectations of each child. Developed alongside the Early Years Learning Framework, the curriculum uses play-based, child-focused learning to encourage children to explore their curiosities and delve into their imagination. 

Our experienced educators take a holistic approach when delivering the key learning areas of literacy, communication, numeracy, creativity, inquiry and investigation, as well as physical activity. 

The Blume Academy program provides children with a variety of fulfilling experiences to support their journey towards becoming independent learners. From arts and crafts to music, movement, literacy, numeracy and scientific concepts - each of our rooms has been designed to provide our educators with the flexibility they need to foster a love of learning in our children.

Incursions are an important part of our program, where children can learn from industry experts. Examples include reptile shows, geography tours, emergency services and cultural presentations.  

Sustainability, gardening and physical exercise activities are taught in our expansive, purpose-built outdoor areas.

The children at Blume Academy enjoy a seasonal menu, developed in line with the National Dietary Guidelines. The meals are all prepared on-site by the full-time cook and tailored to allergies, dietary, cultural or religious requirements.

In line with the culturally inclusive approach at the centre, the menu incorporates a variety of different cultural influences. This often sparks conversations with the children about the foods eaten by different cultures as they develop an appreciation of cultural diversity.

Choosing your child’s first home away from home is a major decision for families. As the Managing Director of Blume, I have enjoyed 30 years of experience in education and childcare. 

My goal is to continue this journey leading an Exceeding Centre of quality that is underpinned by strong ethics, integrity and respect for all. In an inclusive, fair and collaborative environment, we can all learn about our common humanity and enjoy the beauty that it brings to our lives and relationships.
