Seriously amazing!! My children love attending The Rumpus Room - they learn so many wonderful things, the staff are lovely and the families who attend are always friendly. I cannot fault this institution!! HIGHLY recommended.

They are absolutely brilliant with my 7 month old daughter. She has only just started but loves it and knowing the staff do a great job really sets my mind at ease. Everyone is very welcoming and warm, and there is a barista there to make a coffee as I drop my daughter off! Starting daycare can be stressful but the Rumpus guys have made it a breeze.

Important update - Rumpus Room Darling Street temporary closure:
Rumpus Room Darling Street will temporarily close from 10 July while significant building restoration works are undertaken due to water damage. This decision has been made because extensive investigation and repairs cannot safely be completed while children and educators are onsite.
We are working closely with affected families regarding alternative care arrangements and will provide updates as further information becomes available.

About us
We maintain beautiful natural elements in our playground such as plants, timber, grass, sand, mud and pets. Our science experiments offer open ended opportunities for children to explore with scientific concepts including water play. We also offer opportunities for children to be involved in group sewing projects and have a beautiful range of musical instruments for the children to explore and perform with.
Your child will have opportunities to explore the local area within the safety of a high staff:child ratio for excursions. We have previously visited the Art Gallery, Museum, Harbour foreshore, local neighbours to deliver cookies, St Vincent de Paul’s to donate items. There are opportunities to connect with the older generation in a monthly visit from a local aged care setting to participate in gardening, singing and storytelling groups.
The New South Wales Government offers funding to provide families fee relief of up to $2174 per child aged three and above, and up to $515 per year for children aged three. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.
