Milestones is more then just a childcare, its like a second family. The educators are so caring and thoughtful in how they incorporate educational experiences and life lessons. My daughter is constantly learning new things and surprising me with her knowledge of space, horticulture, dinosaurs and more. She is learning how to write her name, letter recognition and can do basic math sums all thanks to the educators at Milestones. They also take the time to teach the kids about emotions, handling big feelings and showing empathy. Those lessons and insights i am seeing my child put into practice in our home, which is lovely. I particularly love all the family engagement opportunities like the mothers day morning tea, the easter hat parade, the christmas function and more. I really recommend Justina and the team at Milestones.

We originally signed up for Little Zacs because it was the "Newest and best" kindy in the area. But they were impossible to... We originally signed up for Little Zacs because it was the "Newest and best" kindy in the area. But they were impossible to contact about anything after we enrolled. So we looked around and found Milestones instead. From the first walk around, we knew this was the right kindy for us. (We moved to the area from Edens Landing and had to change from Eden Academy.) Milestones Rochedale works with the parents. They're always present with the kids. It's not about ticking checkboxes but actually letting the kids play and get dirty, make a mess and learn with their hands. The kitchen cooks healthy meals and works with allergies (most kindergartens do), though always goes above and beyond for events. Always trying to make a unique spread. Lastly, my son was born early and spent 8 weeks in hospital ICU and was on oxygen for 6 months. He's been glued to my side since we brought him home. The only place my son opens up and explores is at this kindy (without his parents around). They've helped him open up and communicate with other kids, lower his time using dummies, opened his food pallette up, helped improve his walking and hand eye coordination, improved his speech, worked on his creativity, taught him some odd new dance moves etc. I definitely recommend Milestones, it's not a new and fancy kindy. It's a place where you'll get quality education and a hands on learning approach with your child.

From the very beginning, the staff made both my toddler and our family feel genuinely welcome and supported. The educators are warm, attentive, and truly invested in each child’s development. It’s clear they take the time to understand every child’s personality, interests, and needs. My toddler has grown so much in confidence, communication, and independence since starting here, and it’s wonderful to see how excited they are every morning to attend. The environment is safe, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a great balance of structured learning and play-based activities. I especially appreciate the regular updates and communication—we’re always kept in the loop with photos, progress notes, and little moments from the day, which gives real peace of mind. What stands out most is the genuine care and passion of the team. It doesn’t feel like “just childcare”—it feels like a community where children are nurtured, encouraged, and celebrated. I’m incredibly grateful we found this center and would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a supportive, engaging, and high-quality environment for their child.

The educators show a high level of attentiveness and genuine care toward the children. Communication is prompt and transparent — whenever something comes up, we are informed in a timely and clear manner, which gives us great peace of mind. One thing that stands out is how well the teachers support children emotionally. They are very effective in calming and guiding children through difficult moments, and we’ve seen firsthand how quickly and appropriately they help manage challenging emotions. Conflicts between children are also handled professionally and fairly, with a focus on teaching positive behaviour. Additionally, the team is responsive and accommodating when it comes to reasonable requests from parents, which we truly appreciate. Overall, we feel confident and reassured having our child in their care, and we would absolutely choose this centre again for our next child.

The stomach churning emotions of having to leave your child/children in the hands of others to look after them, can easily become overwhelming.... The stomach churning emotions of having to leave your child/children in the hands of others to look after them, can easily become overwhelming. However, the staff at this centre understand this and approach new families with a level of reassurance and respect that is second to none. We recently moved here and our child was previously in a day care. This meant that whilst the emotions of leaving your child with someone else were not as high as our first experience, we had something to compare against. We actually explored multiple centres in Darwin that were highly reviewed and conveniently located. This centre approached us with a respectable welcome visit, allowing us to see all the rooms and facilities, the staff immediately made attempts to not only make us feel welcome but the early educators actually reached out and engaged with our son too. This was a game changer for us. Its been almost 3 months since our son started here and we are very happy with our decision and would 100% recommend this centre to anyone exploring which centre is appropriate for their little ones in Darwin. All the staff should be proud of themselves.
